We are excited to announce that the 2022 Divine Bovine Calendar is now for sale! This beautiful calendar was created by our very own Farmer Jess, Hawthorne Valley Farm’s dairy herd manager. Copies are selling for $25 in the Farm Store, and 100% of the proceeds from the sales benefit the farm to help with improving areas where humans and cows interact in more intimate ways on the farm like the milking barn, loafing shed and laneways. These are all places where financial contributions can benefit future bearing renovations.
Calendars are also available for purchase online with an added fee for priority shipping and handling.
About the Artist:
Jess joined HVF as a whole farm apprentice in 2016 before moving up the ranks to herd manager in 2018. Jess grew up on a farm in West Virginia and comes with a lot of experience working with animals. She has an extraordinary work ethic, has an amazing way with cows, and loves introducing our herd to students and campers. When she isn’t working on the farm with the dairy herd, Jess is at home making beautiful artwork, studying Waldorf pedagogy through Hawthorne Valley’s Alkion program or walking with her dogs, Nina and Josie.
