We look forward to this year’s Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 13 from 11am-3pm as we also celebrate 100 years of Biodynamic Agriculture!
We’ll have phenomenal food, live music, a school open house, puppet shows, Birds of Prey demonstrations, artisan crafts, hay rides, children’s activities, and so much more! Keep an eye out for social posts for more details to come on.
This event is rain or shine. In the event of impending severe weather, please check our website and social media the day before.
Activities
Stop by any time at the Information Tent for a biodynamic-themed community art project. Using prompts from the farm, we’ll decorate flags that will be hung along a hedgerow on the farm.
Visit Farmscape Ecology’s booth to get a close-up look at insects through a microscope, learn about soil organisms with an interactive poster, and hear about research efforts in the ancient forests of Columbia County. Their recently published Field Guide, celebrating the habitats of the county will be available for purchase.
Farm Tour with Spencer Fenniman
There will be a farm tour at 1:30pm with Spencer Fenniman, Farm Manager, where you can learn about Biodynamics and the process of how our food is grown. If you would like to tag along, meet by the Farm’s tent a little before 1:30pm.
