Biodynamic Horn Manure Spraying

Come join us in stirring and spraying the overwintered biodynamic preparation 500 on the Farm garden fields.

As part of biodynamic farming tradition, our Farmers fill horns with cow manure and bury them over winter. Once spring comes it’s time to collect the horns, mix the preparation with water and spray the mixture over the fields to enhance soil fertility and stimulate plant growth.

This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about and get involved in biodynamic practices.

Meet us in the CSA Washroom at 3:15pm where we will stir the mixture and then we’ll go out to the fields for spraying. All are welcome, no fee required.
