FEP Summer Internship Applications Due
Farmscape Ecology Program (FEP) is looking for people to come study plants and insects with us this summer! They plan to hire one botany and two entomology learners/interns from approximately late May to late August (the exact dates are flexible). These learners/interns will assist with and learn about our entomology research, botany research, native plant gardening efforts, and public outreach. In exchange for a time commitment of 40–45 hours per week (including some irregular and weekend hours), interns will receive a stipend of $1,200 per month and housing in FEP’s intern accommodations (which have three bedrooms—one for each intern—and a shared kitchen and bathroom). Successful candidates will also be eligible to apply for a scholarship providing an additional stipend. Further, learners/interns will have an option to spend 1/2 day per week doing work for Hawthorne Valley Farm, and those who do so will receive vegetables from the farm. For more information about our learnership/internship opportunities, including instructions for how to apply, visit FEP’s website. Applications are due by 11:59 pm on February 5, 2023.
