Social Threefolding, Private Capitalism, and Technology
A Presentation by Gary Lamb, Director of The Center for Social Research Ethical Technology Initiative
Rose Hall, Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, PA, $15 suggested donation
Our technological age and the technology industry itself are plagued by outdated social forms and depleted spiritual and democratic values. These contribute to the perpetuation and expansion of systemic social problems, including environmental degradation, racism, and autocratic powers. In his presentation, Gary will explore some of the more egregious social forms and why their removal and replacement are necessary to mitigate growing human strife and imminent environmental disasters, and ultimately to enable humanity to stay the course of human and earthly evolution in harmony with the beneficent divine powers.
The perspectives and ideas in this talk arose while contemplating various chapters in A Road to Sacred Creation: Rudolf Steiner’s Perspectives on Technology. Vol. 1, edited by Gary.
