Spring Flower/ Geology Walk
Date: Tuesday, May 9, 2023
Time: 4:00 – 6:00 pm
Location: High Falls Public Conservation Area, Philmont
Join us for a Spring Flower/ Geology Walk led by botanists Claudia and Josie from Farmscape Ecology Program (FEP) and by local geologist and earth science communicator Becky. During this family-friendly afternoon exploration we will look at the rocks in this natural area in the heart of Philmont and learn about their associated spring flowers. We will also visit Columbia County’s highest waterfall to learn about how it formed and why it is there.
This walk is free, but participant numbers are limited. Please register with Josie ([email protected]) to reserve your spot, receive directions, and coordinate carpooling possibilities.
