Virtual Open House: Visiting Students Program

Educators are invited to join Joe Harris, Co-Director of the Visiting Students Program at Hawthorne Valley Farm, to learn more about our seasonal immersive farm-based learning opportunities for Grades 3-12. Joe will provide an overview of the program and answer questions.

Since 1972, the VSP has welcomed hundreds of classes for unique, week-long farm educational experience outside the walls of the classroom. Children experience a hands-on learning environment that emphasizes cooperation, active participation, and critical thinking, through activities that include baking bread, working in the garden, cleaning the barn, and riding horses for the younger students and geological exploration, botany walks, caving, and more for the older students.

We hope you’ll join us to learn more. Please RSVP to receive the Zoom link.
