
Community Film Screening: Farming While Black
Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School is pleased to host a community screening of Farming While Black on Sunday, March 23, 1pm in partnership with Story Screen Cinema (160 Fairview Ave, Suite 78, Hudson)!
The film focuses on Soul Fire Farm in Petersburgh, NY, an Afro-Indigenous centered community farm practicing and teaching regenerative agriculture in order to heal and strengthen the land. Leah Penniman, co-founder of Soul Fire Farm and author of the book Farming While Black, speaks on the plight as well as the benefit of Black farmers in the US.
Tickets will be available at the door, $10 for adults, $7 for children, or pay-what-you-can.
